This policy covers the BonTalk web phone (app.bontalk.info), the BonTalk web phone widget embedded on websites, and the Chrome extension “BonTalk Webcall” (together, “the Service”).

Without signing in

• The SIP server, domain, extension and password you enter are used only to register with BonTalk's calling servers. They are kept in the memory of that browser tab and are not uploaded or stored elsewhere; you enter them again after reloading.
• Preferences such as the interface language are stored in your browser.

When you sign in with a BonTalk account (optional)

• SIP accounts you choose to save (name, server, domain, extension, display name, password), your speed dial list, and records of calls made or received in the Service while signed in (number, time, duration, result, extension used) are stored in BonTalk's cloud database (Google Cloud / Firebase).
• Only you can read this data after signing in. Administrators can delete your saved SIP accounts (for example, when you leave the company) but cannot see the passwords.
• Call records are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. You can delete your saved accounts and speed dials at any time.

Calls

• Call audio is carried through BonTalk's calling servers. Whether calls are recorded depends on the settings of the phone service you use, managed by your company or service provider.

The web phone widget on other websites

• When the phone is embedded on your company's website, call events (incoming, connected, ended) and the other party's number are sent to that website so it can show customer information. Only websites your company has allowed in BonTalk Portal receive them.

The Chrome extension BonTalk Webcall

• It reads the text you selected, or the phone link, only when you right-click and choose “Call with BonTalk”, to put the number into the phone in the side panel. It does not read page content or browsing history.
• In your browser it stores only the number waiting to be dialled, the count of missed calls and the state of a background call.
• So that calls can ring while the side panel is closed, the extension keeps a hidden page open in the background. It runs the same web phone and registers with the SIP account you last used after signing in; incoming calls show a notification, and the microphone is used only after you answer. No additional data is collected or uploaded.
• The phone in the side panel is the app.bontalk.info web phone and handles data as described above.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties, other than the cloud services needed to run the Service (Google Cloud / Firebase).

Deleting data and contact

After signing in you can delete saved accounts under “My SIP accounts”. For any other deletion request or question, email info@bonvies.com.
